With hopes of a film based on the Halo franchise being shot down recently, Microsoft will be promoting their next entry to the Halo IP with a live action web series called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. More info after the break.

The series, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, will run exclusively on Machinima for five weeks, telling the tale of a young UNSC cadet.
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will be “big in scale” and represent “the largest investment” Microsoft has made in live action, according to a report on Variety. The series will run a little more than an hour, presenting “an original story about the game’s Master Chief and how he inspired a young UNSC cadet who will eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC Infinity spacecraft.”
Details on Forward Unto Dawn are scant, with Microsoft reportedly holding cast and crew details for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
