I meant by my comment that i hate when developers force online multiplayer in games that don’t need them. However, games like SM3DW could greatly benefit from online co-op. I don’t mind with local co-op in-fact that’s how i played the entirety of SM3DW.

To me, co-op could benefit most games and don’t have a problem with it whatsoever. What i hate is forcing those death-matching/VS modes much like with the recent Batman:Arkham Origins, which i doubt anyone is playing that right now LOL.

Just look at the reasoning for no online co-op in SM3DW

“With [Super Mario 3D World] we really wanted to deliver an experience that you can share with family, friends, or your boyfriend or girlfriend in the same place like you did with the original NES,” said producer Yoshiaki Koizumi. “We really want players to have fun in front of the TV, talking while they help each other out or get in each other’s way.”

*Facepalm* Is it so hard to have both??
